Isa 24:17 Fear,
and the pit, and the snare, are
upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18
And it shall come to pass, that
he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that
cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the
windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
It is so sad to
see people who can never get over the rough spots. Trouble after trouble accost
them. They go from woe to despair to grief to sorrow, barely able to ever catch
a break.
Here, it is
prophesied of the wicked, that when they flee from some fear, they fall into a
pit and as soon as they emerge from that pit, a snare reaches out and snags
them.
What is the
answer? How is the cycle broken?
The passage says
that God's windows are open and He is watching from on high. It is He that sets
up or tears down. He blesses and He oppresses.
It is our part
to get into a place of blessing. Loving and serving God with our whole hearts
brings us to a place of protection from that which we fear, from pits and
snares.
Are you in that
place of blessing or is your life such that God has no desire to charm your
way?
Break the cycle
by turning to Him today without reservation.
