The Bright and Shining One

Rev 4:3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. 4  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
Rev 2:18  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Someday soon, and it won't be too long
Saints will gather in heaven to sing a new song...

To the Lamb Who is worthy to merit our praise
For He has prevailed, the Ancient of Days

One glimpse of His face, our rapture complete
This is the visage full of glory replete

A rainbow will circle His shoulders and crown
Upon an emerald throne, He will be set down

A river of water of life freely flows
From under His feet and to all heaven it goes

A brilliant white robe with glory He'll wear
With a belt made of gold on which we may stare

His feet will appear as if they are brass
It is there with thanks we will gladly amass...

Our crowns, full of jewels, like the stars they will shine
Belong only to Him, Who gave us the "oil" and the "wine"

And that Face! from which the heavens do flee
May finally be looked upon by you and by me

Eyes full of fire, which at the same time show grace
No, there has never shone in eternity quite like this face

Hair, white as snow, not from age but from wisdom
Seen from afar, from every corner of His kingdom

The earth is His footstool, the heavens His playground
"Holy, Holy" the angels, beasts and elders day and night do resound

Heaven, blessed home of the soul, the sweet bye and bye
Beulah land, Canaan, Rest, ear hasn't heard nor has it been seen with the eye

Soon, so very soon, earth's journey will be done
Then we shall see Him, the bright and shining One
