Isa 59:2 But
your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid
his face from you, that he will
not hear.
Sin is a
separator. God will not condone nor countenance sin in our lives. Though He
loves us immeasurably, He will not fellowship with us if we have unconfessed
sin in our lives.
Sin builds a
wall that our confession and His forgiveness obliterate. Prior to our
acknowledgement of sin, we cannot expect God's blessings on our life or His
smile upon our way. It doesn't mean that we are not still His child, but it
means that His child will sail some rough seas until they get right and have
their sin dealt with by God's remission through the blood of Jesus.
If you are
living with known sin in your life: pride, rebellion against God, the forsaking
of His house, bitterness or unforgiveness against another, a mind consumed by
carnal thoughts, or any other wickedness, allow the Holy Spirit to convict you
of your wrong doing, tell the Lord that you have sinned (He already knows, but
He wants you to know) and ask Him to bathe you in forgiveness.
Then, the wall
that sin has erected will come down and your sweet fellowship with the Father
will be restored.
Make sure there
is nothing between your soul and the Savior today.
