It’s a New Day! Carpe Deum.

Pro 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

The sun came up again this morning. God has given each of us a fresh start. Yesterday may have brought failure, disappointment or discouragement. It could be that we spoke unkindly or in anger. Perhaps temptation got the best of you. There are some who were greeted with tragedy. Our goals may not have been met, our Bibles may have been neglected, prayers may not have been prayed, words of encouragement may not have been uttered. But we have a wonderful gift, another chance, a brand new day.

The thorns that drew from the beauty of yesterday’s roses demanded too much of your attention. Rather than complain that roses have thorns, why not marvel that thorns have roses?

Today is a fresh start. Meet with God, read His Word, ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit. Help someone in need today, share the gospel, be kind, be generous. Yesterday is in the books, tomorrow is no sure thing. But you do have the gift of a new day. Seize it!
