Hints for Every Church Member

   1.       Realize that everybody is at a different spiritual level – give them grace and patience OR emulate them.
   2.       Remember, we all have different gifts – develop yours, ask God to help you wherein you lack, celebrate theirs.
   3.       “Behold, I stand at the door and block” – Don’t monopolize the pastor’s time. BTW, on that note,    are you pulling more people through the door, or pushing them out?
   4.       Constantly ask yourself, “What if every church member were just like me?”
a.       What if you had the only church key? Would it be open every service? Services prompt?
b.      Would the church be clean and orderly?
c.       Would any souls be won? Discipled?
d.      Would anyone be Spirit-filled?
e.      What would worship sound and look like?
f.        Would the altar be used?
g.       What would the general fund report look like? Missions?
h.      Would the tenor of the church be: friendly, unfriendly, cliquish.
i.         Would the pastor go home greatly encouraged or grieved?
   5.       Ask if you are here to serve or be served. “Came not to be served…”
   6.       Constantly examine your motives.
   7.       Regularly examine your level of faith. “Examine yourselves whether ye be in the faith.”
   8.    Follow the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

If each of us would practice these hints on a regular basis, our churches would be a bit of heaven on earth!
