Patience is a Virtue!

Jas 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Jas 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Jas 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Jas 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Jas 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Not sure who first said that patience is a virtue, but he or she nailed it. And so did Pastor James in his letter to the 12 tribes scattered abroad.

Patience pays rich dividends. Hanging in there when most would have let go is an investment for the long haul. The rewards for continuing to inch upstream against the current will soon be realized.

Jesus is coming my friends, and when we kneel before His throne, no one is going to be hearing any "well dones" for giving up and tossing in the proverbial towel. But crowns are going to be distributed for those of us who defied the odds, outlasted the enemy, gave it all we had and won the victory.

Whatever it is that has you discouraged, ready to say "I can't take this anymore" is only temporary. It will soon pass. So don't give in just yet. Resist the temptation to flee or to quit. Keep on keeping on for Jesus. For great is your reward in heaven.
