Isaiah's Psalm

Isa 12:2  Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isa 12:3  Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

This whole Psalm reads like the words of a praiseful David, rather than a prophet of doom. Amidst the pronouncements of judgment, the prophet pauses to praise His Sovereign.

Isaiah recognizes the Lord as a God of comfort, salvation, strength and song. He hopes to declare the greatness of God and exalt His glorious name.

Oh, that we might pause to praise our excellent Creator and Sustainer here in the midst of a world headed full-throttle into judgment.
