Have Ye Any Meat?

Luke 24:40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

The resurrected Savior in His glorified body asked for food from His disciples. They forked over some broiled fish and a honeycomb, which He ate.

Observations:
1. Though a glorified body needs no food, it will still be able to process food.
2. Food is a fellowship item. Socializing often involves food. We eat sometimes, not because we have to, but because it is what we do when we get together.
3. In heaven, we will partake of the marriage supper of the Lamb. Not because we have to eat, but because we have to celebrate. As it is said, some eat to live, others live to eat. Regardless, heaven will include eating for the joy of it. I am one happy camper.
4. The food ingested by a glorified body may include meat! Jesus ate fish. It was "optos" or roasted. Vegan or vegetarian diets are not necessarily biblical or spiritual. One may freely choose to go meatless and grace must be extended toward those who feel either way, but I refuse to be judged by vegetarians and vegans. Have ye any meat?
