Betrayal or Denial?

Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? Luke 22:48

Peter denied, Judas betrayed. Peter repented, Judas hung himself. Peter occupies one of 24 thrones around Christ's throne, Judas went to his own place.

Judas betrayed the Son of man with a kiss, Peter denied with an oath. Judas was filled with the devil, Peter was filled with fear.

Judas sold Jesus out because he was greedy. He perished with 30 pieces of silver. Peter denied Jesus because he was fearful for his life and later said, "silver and gold have I none."

Satan desired to sift Peter. Satan possessed Judas to have Jesus crucified.

Two men, both apostles, both sinners, both made a mistake. One was forgivable, one was fatal. Judas died in his sin. Peter died for His Lord.

It behooves us to beware of Satan's devices. We must stay true to the One Who is faithful to us. Neither deny nor betray the Master. Don't let greed or gain get get in between you and your Lord.
