Mat 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
I am struck by the many miracles of Jesus in this one chapter. A leper, one who was palsied, one suffering from a fever and many others who were brought to him were healed of their illnesses. Many demons were cast out and the wind and the waves were calmed.
One can relate to the disciples who marveled, saying, "What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!"
In each of these instances, Christ was summoned by people of faith to work on their behalf. They came to Him expecting something and receiving that which was beyond their expectations.
Have you allowed this matchless Savior to do the miraculous in your life? What great need have you laid before the One who commands even the wind and the waves and they obey Him? No problem is above His ability to solve. Trust Him today for something big.
